Standard Pipe Clamp

Size Range

The Standard Pipe Clamp covers pipe sizes from 1/2" to 30", providing options for a wide range of pipe diameters and installation requirements.

Material and Finish

• Body: Carbon steel construction provides structural strength and load-bearing performance for pipe suspension applications.
• Finish options: Choose a plain finish or hot-dip galvanized finish. Both options include zinc-plated bolts and nuts to enhance component corrosion resistance.

Applications

Recommended for suspending cold pipelines or hot pipelines that do not require insulation. The clamp serves as a core connection point for supporting and securing pipeline systems.

Maximum Temperature Ratings

• Plain finish: Maximum temperature resistance of 750°F for high-temperature working conditions.
• Hot-dip galvanized finish: Maximum temperature resistance of 450°F, combining corrosion resistance with temperature adaptability.

Certifications and Approvals

The product complies with the listed federal and industry standards. Sizes from 3/4" to 8" have UL and ULC listings and FM approval.

• Federal specifications: A-A-1192A (Type 4) and WW-H-171-E (Type 4)
• Industry standards: ANSI/MSS SP-69 and MSS SP-58 (Type 4)
• Third-party approvals: UL and ULC listings and FM approval for sizes from 3/4" to 8", meeting applicable safety and quality requirements.

Installation and Features

The clamp is normally installed with a Fig. 290 weldless eye nut or eye rod and is compatible with mainstream pipe suspension system components.

• Secure clamping: Its structural design grips the pipe to help prevent displacement during suspension and support installation stability.
• Broad size coverage: Multiple size options accommodate a variety of pipe diameters.
• Equal-gap design: Many sizes feature equal gaps to facilitate installation and support consistent performance.

Ordering Information and Notes

When ordering, specify the pipe size, figure number, product name, and finish. The “C” gap dimension provides clearance at the top attachment point for a weldless eye nut or another suitable rod attachment. This gap may or may not be present at the bottom of the clamp.
